Learn About Our Latest Projects: We have
several stewardship projects to restore historic buildings in town.
Take a
few moments to explore them.
Become a Volunteer: Do you have skills that you would like to use in new ways? Would you like to
learn new skills and meet new people? Or would you like to build on an interest
you haven’t yet had the chance to fully explore? There are so many choices when
you become a volunteer! Contact us at (631) 728‑0887.
Donate Your Items: The Historical Society is always interested in adding more to our collections
relating to local history to its collections. Don’t wait until it’s too late and
some uninterested party is carting your treasures to the dump! Hampton Bays has
lost a lot of its history in this way. Act now! Contact us at (631) 728‑0887.
For the General Public: From April through October every year,
we hold a general public
meeting in which guest lecturers provide lively discourse on topics of historic
interest to the community. These meetings normally are scheduled on the second
Tuesday of each month at 7 pm in the Hampton Bays Public Library, Ponquogue
Avenue, Hampton Bays, NY. For the latest year-round events, check our
events/calendar page.
