David Davidovich Burliuk was a Russian artist who made his summer home in Hampton Bays where he established The Hampton Bays Art Group. Artists such as the Soyar brothers, Nicolai Cikovsky, Arshile Gorky as well as John Graham were participants and residents of our hamlet.
